Since 2018, CCA has provided grants to 24 community foundations to conduct research with and for their transnational communities - those whose hearts and homes reside in more than one country and who often identify as immigrants, emigrants, refugees, people in mobility, people in transit or repatriated, or diaspora.
The following are their final reports, which grantees have also used to engage in further local discussion to celebrate culture, address gaps in resource access, and change narratives. So many of the foundations that did this work have fundamentally changed ways that they perceive, understand and collaborate with their transnational communities, based on learning from both the data and the process of trust- and relationship building.
